Your Day, Your Way

That's where I come in.

My role as a Celebrant is to

Prepare, explain and assist in completing the official documents before and during your Ceremony.

Prepare and deliver your Ceremony in a warm, dignified and audible manner.

Your Ceremony

The first step in creating your own Ceremony is to set up a first meeting, where we have a chat and where I can get to know you a little and gain an insight into your dream wedding day.

Every couple and every relationship is different, therefore every Ceremony should be different and reflect the essence of your relationship.

Your Ceremony should have true meaning for you both and should be the highlight of your life and be truly memorable, for all the right reasons.

If you are keen to proceed, then the next step is to pay a deposit. This is a simple contract where we are both assured of each other's full commitment.

I can then help you complete the Notice of Intention to Marry ("NOIM"), your first official document, which must be completed 1 month and 1 day before your wedding. At this point, I will need to sight official papers...

  1. Your birth certificates
  2. Certificate of Divorce (if necessary)

You will then be given a comprehensive booklet with a wide choice of material to read, where you can highlight phrases or paragraphs which have meaning to you.

Then we can work together at subsequent meeting/s to ensure that the wording of the Ceremony is just right for you. A Statutory Declaration is to be signed before the wedding to state that you are free to marry.

At the conclusion of your Wedding, you will be presented with a bound copy of your Ceremony as a keepsake.

A rehearsal before your Ceremony is highly recommended. At this rehearsal, we can make sure that you are comfortable with where you are to stand, and the timing for you to walk down to music plus other small and important details.

Together, we can fine tune any minor details and make sure everything flows on your most important day.
